Reviews (highlights)
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the relaxing experience my partner and I were hoping for. It had the potential to be great, but a few issues made it disappointing overall.
The check-in process was smooth, and we were shown around the facilities before our massages. However, things started to feel a bit awkward once our therapists came to get us. They were nice but our introductions weren't great and during the massage, one of the therapists continued to talk and ask my partner questions, which made it difficult for either of us to fully relax.
Partway through, I also noticed a bug crawling on the floor beneath me, which I had to interrupt the session to have removed. While I understand that’s not the therapist’s fault, it definitely took away from the calming atmosphere.
The highlight of our visit was the use of the pool, hot tub, and steam room — those amenities were very enjoyable. We went early Sunday afternoon so it wasn't very busy with hotel guests. It seemed to just be guests from the spa.
Lastly, we were told afterward that one of the massage services couldn’t be direct billed through insurance because the RMT was new and not yet in their system. I wish this had been mentioned beforehand, especially since I had called two days prior to confirm direct billing was available. I also had issues trying to bill through my insurance (couldn't find the RMT in the system) so I phoned the spa and the response from the front desk was to wait a few days to try again or call my insurance because they aren't an insurance company.
Overall, while the facilities themselves were nice, the service and communication issues made it far less relaxing than we expected. We will come again but request different therapists and make sure they can be direct billed for a smoother more relaxing experience.
I recently visited this Spa from Toronto and had one of the best therapeutic massage experiences at RnR Wellness Spa. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and serene. The receptionists greeted me with warm smiles and offered a full tour of the beautiful facilities.
My massage with Nancy was exceptional. She took the time to listen to my needs and delivered professional and personalized treatment — truly one of the best I’ve had.
The lounge areas were thoughtfully stocked with water, tea, coffee, yogurt, and healthy snacks like nuts, creating a calm space to unwind. After my massage, I enjoyed the pool and steam sauna, which added the perfect finishing touch to an already relaxing experience.
Overall, it was a rejuvenating and peaceful spa day. I highly recommend RnR Wellness to anyone looking for quality care and a truly relaxing escape.
This was my first visit to the Palliser location, and I have to say—the steam room and swimming pool are the biggest highlights of the space.
I usually go to their sister spa just around the corner, so naturally, I ended up comparing the two.
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the amenities here. The space feels dated, especially the shower area, and there was a noticeable lack of basic offerings like soaps (other guest removed them from the wall to check if there’s anything in there - see pics), lotions, and beverages that are typically available at the other location.
For a spot within such a well-known hotel, I expected a bit more in terms of upkeep and thoughtful amenities.
Excellent value for money! The atmosphere is relaxing, the place is spotless with new and well-maintained facilities, including showers fully stocked with everything you need. Massage therapist Beira truly knows what she’s doing — she focused on my back muscles and I felt an incredible release of tension afterwards. More than satisfied with the service I received.
My wife and I visited the spa for a massage. The amenities were great, even though the building and fittings feel a bit old, it still has a luxurious atmosphere. Our highlights were definitely the pool and the sauna; both were incredibly relaxing for us.
The only downside was the front desk experience. We didn’t feel welcomed, and there was a noticeable attitude, though I’m not sure why. They also misspelled my wife’s name, which caused issues with our direct billing for insurance. I sent an email asking them to split the receipt into two, but I never got a response. I eventually had to call, and even then, the customer service still didn’t feel right.
